Wow! I mean this is great, one of my most favorites. In this Karakuri Circus, we follow the MC Chu Yang that ends up being betrayed and hunted down and finally killed, all alone with no friends, family or lovers by his side in the end. Being reincarnated to his 17-18 year past self, with his memories of a depressed, unfulfilling life full of selfishness, loneliness, and carnage, on his ineffective path to get to the top. Now he has the opportunity to live again and make up for his past mistakes. Sounds a little generic I confess, but do not worry, it is as far from being generic as it might be for the genre.
That is easily the best xianxia I have ever read, and I have read a lot of during the last few decades! This light manga stands out in each and every way. It is funny, it's sad, it's brilliant, it is poignant, the vocabulary is top notch, the girls aren't relegated to being great looking background characters, the plot is totally amazing as is the planet construction, the characters in this manga are pretty much all great and unique. The love so far is great and far from being hurried, where the girls fall for the main character just by looking at him.
I truly hope that the writer can keep each girl from fading to the background in the story and in the same keep them exceptional because this is supposed to be a harem of types. No, in this Karakuri Circus they're just opponents, not the common super strong and super evil overlords who only want to ruin everything and anyone. Last but not least, the manga online is absolutely hilarious occasionally. This is just from reading about 1/10 of the entire string, which leaves me wondering where the story goes from Ouji sama Nante Iranai. From what I have seen (and by studying the writer's other works) so far though, I don't have any doubts it is going to end up being just as heroic as the beginning.
While I'm not fond of the transported into another world, deus ex like strong artifacts (actually I hate those tropes) which aids the mc conquer anything and everything in their way, this manga implements the reincarnated/artifact trope in a really terrific way. As of chapter 249, the mc have not gained that far from being reincarnated and with the most effective weapon known to man. Compared to published novels, it is still top notch and if this was published as a properly printed manga, it would still be one of one of the best fantasy novels that I've ever read. Highly recommend this to anyone who likes [reading manga online].
